Lake Land Amusement Park

The Beginning

The incredible evolution of Lakeland began in the mid-1950’s, as an amusement park centered around a 235-acre man made lake.  Although the park closed in 1976, remnants of the park can still be found throughout the city. Today Garner Lake endures as the largest lake in Shelby County and hosts some of the most exclusive homes and beautiful views in West Tennessee.  


Today, the beautiful city of Lakeland, TN is quickly becoming one of the most desirable and most prestigious communities in the Memphis Metro Area.  Over the past five years, Lakeland has strategically invested in and planned for future growth from both a residential and commercial standpoint.  In a day and age of clear cut subdivisions and ill-planned sprawling subdivisions, Lakeland retains a focus on quality of life and a commitment toward preserving the environment
